Last weekend I had a local wedding to shoot. I met the bride a few days before the wedding at the venue to check out its location and see how suitable it was for photography. It was going to prove tricky as there wasn’t much natural light in a lot of the rooms that would be used for the service and the events after. Oh well, I’ll do my best as always I thought. Such a lovely lady deserves the best!
I arrived on the Sunday as planned to shoot the “Getting Ready”WOW heheh!!! Not only the bride getting ready but her 5 kids, her maid of honour and her son as well as a couple of the daughters friends just hanging about lol! Proper Chaos! Oh well get stuck in. I borrowed the youngest daughter as my assistant and off we set to check out the reception rooms armed with rings, shoes, bouquets etc. We took some pics in the reception rooms of the details there but I couldn’t find the light in there for the brides accessories that I wanted but I had seen a likely window upstairs so we made our way there and sure enough a beautiful shaft of sunlight streaming through the window onto the floor. So there I am laying flat on the floor outside the lifts taking close up photos of sparkly shoes and rings etc lol. Got the shots I wanted though.
Back to the room which hopefully had calmed down a bit by now 🙂 Nope lol but never mind, I find a corner set up the camera and begin to record the happenings with the occasional word of advice or encouragement thrown in. We got there, we made some beautiful pictures for this big happy loving family xxx
The sun shone on Medway today! After a long wet spell the people of Medway were at last able to get out and enjoy a spring day at Medway Valley
